CleanScapes Awards include Meadowbrook Community Center

Congratulations to Sue McGann and Lee LaCroix ! CleanScapes selected and funded their proposal for a Community food preservation facility (Meadowbrook Community Center)

From seed to plate – a food preservation facility and supplies for community use and public classes teaching canning, drying and other food preservation skills. ($11K) Look for improvements to the kitchen at the Meadowbrook Community Center with class offering on food prep, and preservation soon to follow!

Other winners included:

    Community play space project (View Ridge Elementary School)
    Gathering place and outdoor seating elements of the PTA-funded Phase I playground renovation as developed in a professional landscape concept design. (~ $36K)
    Gathering place information signs (Hunter Farms; NE 80th/35th Ave NE)
    Three signs describing the history, use and availability of Hunter Farms as a public gathering place ($1K)

Meadowbrook Council congratulates all the winners. A total of seven very deserving proposals were evaluated.
