Meadowbrook Community Council Meeting Announcement
Time: May 8, 2018 7:00PM-8:30PM
Location: Meadowbrook Community Center | 10517 35th Ave NE, Seattle, WA 98125

Welcome to Springtime in Seattle! As your new Meadowbrook Community Council President I want to introduce myself. Born and raised in the Seattle area I have resided in Meadowbrook since the early 80’s. My family still lives in the first home we purchased, and my children attended our local schools. I have a great love of this area . As a full time Realtor I have watched our neighborhood change, house by house. Our neighborhood is doing pretty good here in NE Seattle! As the incoming MCC President I intend to be accessible and responsive to the needs of our community. Fortunately I have had the benefit of an outstanding mentor in Dan Keefe. Dan has served MCC President for the past seven years and much of what has been accomplished has had his hand in it. He will be a tough act to follow! Not to worry though—Dan is now our MCC Vice President!

For the upcoming May 8th meeting we will have a variety of speakers on an assortment of topics.

Hi Pam! Thanks for your informative and chatty announcement in May and for your service to our neighborhood as President of the Meadowbrook Community Council (Congratulations!). I was looking for meeting minutes to get up to speed on what happened at that May meeting and also at the June meeting but find that the last update of the Meeting Minutes for MCC was Nov. 9, 2016. Why is that? Surely meeting minutes are taken. Shouldn’t they then be kept up to date and available on the MCC website?? I think so, but wonder what policies are in place. I’d find it very helpful to be able to read them to keep up with the current business of the Council and think others might as well. If current policy is not to take, keep, and post minutes, what can be done to change that?
Thanks again for your service. I look forward to hearing back from you.
